How
Get Paid Reviews Works
When
someone visits Get Paid Reviews through your affiliate
link, your information is automatically loaded
from our database and associated with the visitor
for as long as they surf this site.
If the visitor arrived without following an affiliate
link, one of our affiliates is chosen at random
from the database and associated with the visitor.
Then, when the visitor reads reviews of "Get
Paid" programs, the 'Visit Website' and 'More
Information' links are automatically set to the
affiliate links you've indicated on the Edit
Program Links page.
If you haven't specified a link for a particular
program, another affiliate's link is chosen at
random from our database for that program. This
way, no matter which program a visitor joins,
one of our affiliates gets credit and adds that
person to their downline.
But, in addition to helping you build downlines
more quickly and easily than ever before, Get
Paid Reviews also credits you with advertising
impressions for every visitor you send through
your affiliate link. You can then use these impressions
to display your own banner ads on the Get Paid
Reviews network.
The number of impressions you earn per visitor
is calculated every hour based on current traffic
to the Get Paid Reviews web site. You can see
how much you'll earn for each visitor you send
through your affiliate link at the top of the
right hand column in the affiliates table.
Impressions Earned Per Visitor
The first number is the number of impressions
you'll earn for each visitor, the second number
is how many impressions you'll earn from each
visitor to your first level downline, and the
third number is how many impressions you'll earn
from each visitor to your second level downline.

Speaking of your downline, if one of your site
visitors joins the Get Paid Reviews affiliate
program after visiting this site through your
affiliate link, you add them to your downline
in our program and get credit for visitors they
send to Get Paid Reviews as well.
Banner
Ad Rotation
The other thing that happens when someone follows
your affiliate link to this web site is that banner
ads are chosen at random from our database and
shown on the site.
Banner ads are shown in three locations on almost
every page:
• in the top header (468x60 or 234x60 ads)
• at the top of the right column (any ad
120x120 or smaller)
• at the bottom of the right column (any
ad who's width is less than 126 pixels and who's
height is at least 91 pixels)
Banner ads are not specific to any one affiliate's
site. Your banner ads have the benefit of being
shown to visitors referred by any and every Get
Paid Reviews affiliate, regardless of who's actual
link they followed to reach this web site.
You can upload an unlimited number of banner ads
to your account using the Add
Banner Ads page and then use the impressions
you've earned from your affiliate link to display
those banners on this site. Do this on the Transfer
Imps to Ads page.
Base
Impression Value and Earning Ad Impressions
You automatically get credit for the
first page a visitor views upon following your
affiliate link to Get Paid Reviews or when you
are randomly assigned to a visitor that arrives
here without following one of our affiliate's
links.
Our server then keeps track of how many pages
a visitor views while they're here and how many
ad impressions are loaded for each page. Those
values are recorded for all our affiliates as
a whole, not for each affiliate individually.
Once an hour we take the total number of impressions
served and divide it by the percentage of first
pages views to arrive at a base impression value
(BIV) for that first view. Think of this as the
number of ads a typical visitor will be exposed
to during the duration of their visit.
The number of impressions you earn for the visitors
your first and second level downlines send through
their affiliate links are then calculated from
the BIV.
Without all the statistics, this means:
• you earn a minimum of 1.32 impressions
for each visitor you send to Get Paid Reviews,
and a minimum of 0.99 imps for each visitor your
level one downline sends, and 0.66 for each visitor
your level two downline sends. These values are
typically much higher though - current values
are BIV:
1.32 ; first level downline (IV1):
0.99 ; second level downline (IV2):
0.66 ).
• Up to date values for BIV, IV1, and IV2
can be found in the Affiliates column at the top
right of every page. The first number is BIV,
the second is IV1, and the third is IV2.
• the BIV of each visitor is calculated
hourly based on current site traffic - the more
visitors to Get Paid Reviews, the more ad impressions
we need to serve to them and the more impressions
you'll earn in return for referring them.
Because these values are calculated for the entire
network, each affiliate benefits from the total
traffic all affiliates send to Get Paid Reviews
in higher BIV per visitor.
The more ad impressions that get served to visitors,
the more ad impressions are credited to affiliates
for sending those visitors - the theory being
affiliates will then use the impressions they
earn to display their own ads on the network and
meet the demand.
The powerful thing about this system is that it's
truly affiliate supporting affiliate. We maintain
a 1:1 ratio for the system - for each ad impression
that is served to a visitor, one impression goes
right back to an affiliate as credit.
But, because multiple ads are shown on each page
and because traffic for the entire network is
taken into account when computing BIV, affiliates
earn back much more than one impression for each
visitor they refer through their affiliate link.
This not only rewards affiliates who send a lot
of traffic through their affiliate link, but also
allows new affiliates to earn a significant return
on even small amounts of traffic - from day one.
